<br/><br/> La cursilería, o cursería, como la llaman los autores de este opúsculo, ha sido un tema recurrente en las reflexiones literarias, estéticas, teológicas y éticas más o menos desde el siglo XVIII, cuando apareció la sociedad burguesa. De ella se ocupa este Arte de distinguir a los cursis (1868) con buen sentido del humor y ligereza, con deliciosa maldad e ironía, pues es materia que se presta para ello.<br>  Cursilería, or cursería, as the authors of this booklet call it, has been a recurring theme in literary, aesthetic, theological, and ethical reflections more or less since the 18th century, when bourgeois society appeared.
