La memoria del bosque es un libro de Sara Bertrand con sendas ilustraciones de Elizabeth Builes. Este libro ilustrado narra dos historias. Una, la de una niña y su madre -una conversación, una mudanza, una llegada, un internarse en el bosque, un reconocer el lugar en el que se asentarán- y la otra historia que le narra la madre a su hija: una princesa que ha visto arder su aldea, una princesa que ha conocido de cerca el fuego y la violencia, una princesa que se esconde, se vuelve ovillo; pero es descubierta por otro -un gato- que le hace recordar, le pregunta, la cuestiona. Es un relato que se ve permeado por los diálogos entre la madre y la hija alrededor del relato que se narra, así es como hay una reflexión alrededor de lo narrado.

The memory of the forest is a book by Sara Bertrand with two illustrations by Elizabeth Builes. This illustrated book tells two stories. One, that of a girl and her mother - a conversation, a move, an arrival, going into the forest, recognizing the place where they will settle - and the other story that the mother tells her daughter: a princess who has seen her village burn, a princess who has seen fire and violence up close, a princess who hides, turns into a ball; but she is discovered by another - a cat - who reminds her, questions her, questions her.
